Stats

The hockey card renders a five-column line: GP, G, A, PTS and +/-. Those are typed by you and drawn as vector text, so a plus-minus of +2 is +2 on the printed card. No image model ever touches a number.

The backdrop

Hockey composites onto an ice plane: a cool blue key light, an out-of-focus crowd, and a pale reflective floor under the skates. It is drawn as vector, so it prints at 300 DPI as cleanly as it renders on screen.

What photo to send

Helmets are the recurring problem. A cage or a low brim hides the face, and likeness is the one thing we will not fake — if the face is not readable we ask for another photo rather than guess at it. A shot with the helmet off, pushed up, or tucked under an arm works best.

Can you use a photo with the helmet on?

Sometimes. If the face is clearly visible through the cage it works. If it isn't, our photo check stops the flow and asks for a better shot instead of producing something that doesn't look like them.

What if the jersey already has a name and number on it?

That's ideal — it's what real jerseys look like. We match the card's name and number to the jersey so the two agree.

Do I need stats?

No. Stats are optional. If you enter them, they're rendered exactly as typed.
