Backyard legends & good dogs

Custom pet trading cards

Backyard legends, house panthers, and one very good boy. Pets are the easiest category we've put through this — animals fill a frame naturally, so almost any decent photo works.

The pets stat line

Stats

Pets render ZOOMIES, FETCH, TREATS and GOOD. The stat line is a joke, deliberately — but it is still typed by you and drawn as exact text, so TREATS: ∞ prints as ∞.

  • FETCH
  • TREATS
  • GOOD

The backdrop

Pets composite onto open grass with a low golden key light and a soft blurred treeline, which suits fur far better than the living-room rug most pet photos are taken on.

What photo to send

Pets needed no re-cropping at all in testing, unlike every human category. Animals are compact subjects that already fill the frame. The one thing to watch is a bright sunlit background — it used to swallow the jersey number entirely, until we gave the number a dark outline so it reads on any photo.

The workflow, not one AI image

From a real photo to a real pets card

  1. 1
An ordinary phone photo of a pets subject before editing

    Upload a real photo

A phone snap is fine. We score blur, lighting and face size first.

  2. 2
The same subject cropped and cleaned up

    We isolate the subject

Background removed entirely — not dimmed. The face is never altered.

  3. 3

    Staged & lettered

Placed on a drawn pets stage. Every name and number is real text.

  4. 4

    Printed for real

Cards, a display print, and every digital format.

Questions

Pets cards, answered

Does it work for cats and small animals?

Yes. We've run cats and rabbits through the same pipeline as dogs with no changes.

My photo was taken indoors on the carpet. Is that fine?

Fine. The subject is isolated and placed on a designed backdrop, so the rug doesn't come with it.

Can I put a joke on it?

That's encouraged. Whatever you type is what prints.
